Artist statement

I try to explore the relationship between human and nature through my works. A more detailed statement is about the ending of plants in the symbiotic relationship with humans.

My works have various forms, including installations, videos, paintings and other mixed media expressions. I am good at using 3d modeling to express my work. Usually my work is a virtual plant, which is an electronic transformation of existing plants. It is a conjecture of future plants and an irony of the possible consequences of human damage to the environment.

My source of inspiration is plants, because I have liked observing plants since I was young, so I chose the major of environmental design in my BA course and learned about the use of plants in space during my BA course. But I found that in my daily life, I feel that plants are in a state of being trapped invisibly by humans and being destroyed and used for humans. But in fact, both humans and plants are substances composed of atoms, but a single individual with different identities in the end. And these substances with different identities are marked with special signs by us, and their positions are constantly replaced. So, I chose fine art as a graduate student. I want to use my works to explore whether the meaning of plants for human beings is just a sign that reflects the desire of human beings to return to nature. And our kind of spirit is extremely ahead of the material social state, and the over-development of false naturalization will eventually lead to the end of mankind.
